She gave me an old camera and sent me out to play, expecting I'd keep busy and out of her hair for the day. An older neighborhood girl, Becky, lived just down the way. She saw me carrying my camera and asked what I wanted to photograph. Shortly after, I developed my very first roll of film from that camera. I was quite proud at the artistic result. Gran took a look through my photos and proclaimed them to be filthy, rude, crude and socially unacceptable. In that moment, I knew I'd found my calling... Thank you, Becky dear.
